Amber Hill Wins Silver at the Commonwealth games
Congratulations to Amber Hill as she fought through to the Gold Medal match and wins Silver in the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Australia
The final was tightly fought she scored 49 out of the 60 targets with only 3 targets between her and Eleftthriou from Cyprus who took Gold at the Belmont Shooting Centre. Panagiouta Andrea took bronze on 40 out of 50 targets.
Speaking about the competition “ After the World Cup in Mexico taking the bronze it was great to step up and take a silver medal here in Australia” All the extra work with Joe Neville my coach is now starting to pay off” the pressure in the finals is always there but the crowd were amazing getting behind us in the final.
The conditions seemed to be a boon to her in Australia, Amber seemed to thrive in “The warm and sunny conditions were so much better than shooting in the freezing cold in the UK – when I left there was snow in the UK. “ It was great to have my family here to support me as well and my Coach supporting me mentally was brilliant.
